Lemon Pepper Shrimp

So simple and quick to make! This dish is super crunchy with a light citrus kick. Pair it with the garlic noodle recipe for a complete meal 

INGREDIENTS

  • Salt

  • Black pepper

  • 3/4 cup oil for frying

  • 1.5-2 lbs raw, headless, deveined, shell on, tail on shrimps

  • 1 cup corn starch

  • 1 lemon cut into wedges

DIRECTIONS

  1. Lightly salt the shrimp

  2. Coat shrimp in cornstarch

  3. Heat oil in a wide pan for shallow frying. Med high heat 

  4. Fry shrimp 90 seconds each side

  5. Place shrimp on a wire rack and lightly salt and pepper 

  6. Plate all the shrimp and squeeze 1 wedge of lemon juice before serving

  7. This recipe only works with shell-on shrimp, to achieve the crunchy texture. The shrimp is meant to be eaten unpeeled, tail and all!
