Pork Ribs
You certainly do not have to use pork, this recipe is versatile for many kinds of protein! These tender, sticky, charred ribs don’t take much effort at all.
INGREDIENTS
1 rack of ribs (approx 12-15 ribs)
SAUCE FROM SCRATCH
1/2 tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp Paprika
1 tsp black pepper
1 cups ketchup
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 tbsp honey
1/2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce or soy sauce
SEMI-HOMEMADE SAUCE
1.5 cup sweet bbq sauce
2 tbsp sriracha or other hot sauce
1 tbsp minced garlic
1 tsp black pepper
DIRECTIONS
SAUCE
From scratch: Mix and simmer on medium-low until thickened
Semi-homemade: Mix in a bowl and divide into 2
RIBS
Turn instant pot to sauté
Cut ribs into shorter racks of 3-4 ribs or individually
Add 1 tbsp oil into a hot instant pot
Lightly sear meat side of ribs
Coat ribs with half the sauce. Save the other half for later
Cover and pressure cook on manual high for 30 minutes
Release steam
Turn oven broiler on
Remove ribs from instant pot and place on a foil-lined baking tray, Meat side up
Generously spoon remaining sauce over ribs
Broil for 5 minutes until sauce is caramelized and slightly charred
Optional: garnish with sesame seeds or chopped herbs
